Lovely setting. If it hadn’t been blowing a hooley and raining it would have been paradise

The Location, piece and quite, lovely seeing some wildlife. Amazing walks through the saltmarshes through to Wells. The hottub was nice and so was having the firepit.

Neighbourhood information

Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Stiffkey (pronounced stoo-kee) is a beautiful coastal village built on the banks of the Stiffkey chalk stream. Famed for huge horizons and a vast open expanse of the salt marshes with twisting creeks and muddy basin Stiffkey is the habitat for a wide range of birdlife, including waders and wintering wildfowl, plus an array of unusual plant life. The Norfolk Coast path passes along the perimeter of the salt marshes towards Morston then Blakeney to the east, and westwards to Wells-next-the-Sea - a superb walk in either direction, with breath-taking views at any time of year. The handy and popular Stiffkey Stores sells newspapers, household essentials and tempting knick-knacks. Increasingly renowned for its delicious homemade treats, the Monmouth coffee it serves is also not to be missed. Traditional village pub, The Red Lion, offers good food to accompany a warm Norfolk welcome. Less than ten-minutes by car, Binham Priory hosts a range of summer concerts making the most of its excellent acoustics and ambience. Priory Farm provides raw milk, and a dairy shop with cheeses, butter, ice cream and coffee. The Parlour cafe is a recent addition and proving to be very popular. Nearby, Blakeney offers plenty of opportunities to sample local produce with a fantastic deli located in the village. After a long walk, reward yourself with a sweet treat from Two Magpies Bakery. Head out for a day's sea fishing, try your hand at gillying for crab on the harbour, swim, kayak or paddleboard through the creek or join a seal spotting trip from neighbouring Morston. Book in to sample the delectable tasting menu at the Michelin starred Morston Hall, or The Three Horseshoes gastropub in Warham, a great place to head to for a refreshing pint or a hearty bite to eat. A short drive away, Wells-next-the-Sea is a hub for North Norfolk coastal activities. Amble along Staithe Street, the bustling high street, with a flurry of independent...
