Enjoy a peaceful and comfortable break in leafy Walmer. This is a self-contained annexe to our family home with its own private entrance and off-road parking. You will have a bedroom with en-suite shower room, and a lounge with kitchen area and direct access to the patio and garden.
Located close to the main Deal to Dover road, it is still quiet and green, but just a 12 minute; drive to Dover Port, cruise terminal, the A2 and A20. The nearest train station, Walmer, is a 10 minute walk.
A short walk takes you to the beach, to the cliffs, to Walmer Castle, to local shops or to the train station.
I look forward to welcoming you to Walmer and to our home. You will stay in a self-contained annexe attached to our family home where we have lived for nearly 20 years. I enjoy gardening and walking, I hope you will also enjoy our garden and there are many lovely walks nearby if that's your thing!
Our home is close to the pebble beach at Walmer and the coastal path takes you to Deal and beyond, or to Kingsdown and the White Cliffs. You can walk across the cliffs to St Margarets Bay or on to Dover if you are feeling energetic. Walmer Castle is a 10 minute walk away. Deal is a lovely Georgian town with plenty of independent shops, restaurants, small galleries. The end of the pier gives a great view back to the sea front which is very pretty. There is a paddling pool and a new crazy golf opening in summer 2022. Plenty of us swim in the sea although watch out for strong currents. Dover Castle is a fantastic day out and Dover harbour is lovely for a visit. There is plenty to do if you enjoy the outdoors. Golfers can play at 3 links courses including Royal Cinque Ports and Royal St Georges if you are good enough!
