A very warm welcome, extremely clean and well equipped, help finding bus routes and a nearby bus stop, a small but well thought out room with tea and coffee, and fresh milk available. And a lovely breakfast in the morning.

Quite apart from the spectacular views and the comfort of my room, I think it was Victor and Alison's care of me that was the standout, from the breakfasts to the laundry service, they were great!

Company information

Victor and Alison took over Sinai House at the start of Dec 2016, we have travelled and lived abroad, so we understand what it is like to be away from home. We try to show this in our home by providing the basic necessitates that a traveller would need. We want you to feel as if you were in your own home, by using our guest lounge to relax, play games or use the swap library. Our motto is: enter as strangers, leave as friends'.

Property information

Sinai House was built in 1850, for the Lord Mayor of London, as his summer residence. Built up on the hill top above Lynton, the views are stunning. Overlooking the bay across to the Welsh coast and Countisbury Hill. As the Lynway goes into a walk way just after Sinai House, it is very peaceful, all you can hear is the East Lyn River. We have the added advantage of free on site parking, Please note the entrance to the lynway is narrow and the camber can be a problem for low sports cars, beautiful terraced gardens which go down to the public car park off Castle Hill. We have a licensed bar and offer bar snacks. Free Wi Fi. Sinai House is situated within a 3 minute walk into Lynton. Barnstaple is 14.3 miles from Sinai House, while Ilfracombe is 12.4 miles from the property. Taunton, with links to the M5 motorway, is 44 miles from Sinai House.

Neighbourhood information

The twin towns of Lynton and Lynmouth are stunning. They offer peace, beauty and a slowness rarely found theses days! The Cliff Railway connects the towns and is worth a ride on. We have our own cinema, small but perfectly formed! Lovely pubs, restaurants and cafes. Private shops and museums. The walking and hiking is incredible, with loop walks and the South West Coast Path right on our door step.
