The house is fantastic. So big! It was great having the telescope! We saw dolphins through it! We had a mummy sheep and two baby lambs come up to visit every day too, so cute! It was great that there were two en suites and a separate toilet.

The entire three bedroom house is yours. Towels and bed linen is provided. Ample parking for 4 cars. The master bedroom has a large en suite bathroom which contains a generously sized walk in shower and the room also has comfortable arm chairs and large built in wardrobes with clothes hangers and shelving. A twin room containing two single beds and ample wardrobe space. A double room which accesses the main bathroom and so can be used as an en suite if required, likewise this room has built in wardrobes. There is a travel cot in the house which will easily fit into any of the rooms. At the rear of the house there is a utility room with separate toilet. There is ample space for hanging up jackets and drying out walking gear, boots and wellies etc. This area is also ideal as a sleeping and feeding place for pets. There is also a freezer and washing machine in this room and detergents and cleaning materials are provided. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. It has an electric oven and a five ring gas hob as well as fridge, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, microwave and filter coffee machine. Store cupboard basics are provided i.e. salt, pepper, tea, coffee, sugar, cooking oil
I live in Glenelg with my husband and daughter, two cats and 12 hens.
Glenelg is a beautiful and peaceful little village. Situated on the mainland opposite the Isle of Skye the village is the historic crossing point to the island and during the summer months there is a ferry service using the last turntable ferry in the world! The area is amongst the most picturesque on the west coast of Scotland , surrounded by hills this is an extremely good area for hillwalking and the famous Five Sisters of Kintail and Cuillins of Skye are a short drive away. Slightly off the beaten track Glenelg provides a quiet tranquility of its own (away from the more tourist congested areas) yet is an ideal base for exploring Skye and the surrounding places of interest. The brochs in Glenelg are well worth a visit, situated in a beautiful glen the scale and state of preservation of these 2000 year old buildings are something to behold. Other things to see are the ruins of the 1700's military barracks which was built to guard the crossing to Skye and no visit to this area would be complete without a visit to Sandaig, a beautiful cluster of white beach, grassy knolls and craggy rocks which was made famous by the Gavin Maxwell classic "Ring of bright water".
