The guest house is over 200 years old and located on a quiet road. It is popular with those keen on golf, fishing, or seeking castles and malt whisky. Close by are the Glen Moray distillery, the Elgin Cathedral ruins and biblical gardens. Beautiful beaches are 10 minutes away where you may spot bottlenose dolphins or even a minki whale. Southbank is close to museums, Johnstons Cashmere Centre, and Baxters, where you can sample a local pancake.

hi , my husband and i have been running Southbank for about 20 years, with the help of very nice house maids and waitresses and occasional help with cooking, my husband was a butcher along with his dad for some 50 years between them ran a small butchers in Hopeman village, so he knows a decent sausage for sure, we bought Southbank guest house 2000 may 22nd and are still here. we are selling bed and breakfast , and try our best to give our customers a good traditional cooked breakfast , and a nice clean warm room when its cold. elgin town hall had top loader and Angie Dickinson them selfs and elvis tribute band .check it out. There are a couple of whisky festivals a year and lots of distilleries in the area, great beaches on the coat and bottle noised dolphins ,great wild life , very good cycling paths , beautiful golf courses , elgin has a pins bowling ally , tennis courts , 2 out door bowling greens , one indoor a leisure centre with gym relaxation suit and ice skating ring , football pitch , cinema ,restaurants and bars , a craft beer bar/shop, the train station is at the bottom of my road for inverness or Aberdeen ,bridge club, a whisky shop , Johnston's cashmere and more x

The Southbank Guest House is located in the centre of Elgin - a large town in the Moray area with a shopping centre, museums, historical landmarks, restaurants and bars. There is a lot to see and do in Moray, including an abundance of castles, stately homes and cathedrals. we have free parking for 6 vehicles out the back of the guest house and another 6 spaces at the front.The house is comfortable with a slight modern interior but still retaining a lot of the original Georgian era features free wi fi ,free parking, town centre, family run for 20 years , 14 en suite guest rooms , COOKED SCOTTISH BREAKFAST IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN A FULL COOKED SCOTTISH BREAKFAST , PLEASE CONTACT US FIRST , WE HAVE REMOVED SOME OF OUR TABLES AND CHAIRS FOR THE SAFTY OF OUR CUSTOMERS SO WE HAVE LIMITED TABLE PLACES, WE CAN SUPPLY A FULL COOKED BREAKFAST IN THE DINNING ROOM , THERE IS NO TABLE SERVICE AT THE PRESENT.
