St Martins Apartment is a beautiful Grade II listed Georgian property that has been fully modernised to make the best of its period features. This first floor apartment has been furnished to a high standard with beautiful fabrics and accessories. Just a stones throw from the famous hotel The George of Stamford and a short walk from Burghley House and parkland. This apartment really is in the heart of historic Stamford.
Hi I'm Kate along with my husband we are the owners of St Martins Apartment. We bought the apartment six years ago as a base whilst our children were at school in Stamford. They have now flown the nest and are away at University. Because we aren't using the apartment as much now we had a decision to make, hence the listing as we couldn't bear to sell it. We hope you enjoy staying in it as much as we do. By sharing it with you we have the best of both worlds in that we all get to enjoy it. Stamford is a wonderful place to explore. I am sure once you have visited you will want to return again and again.
The apartment is perfectly located, a five minute walk will take you into the wonderfully preserved town centre, with all its restaurants, cafes, independent shops and welcoming pubs it is not surprising that it has been voted in the past The Sunday Times Best place to live in Britain. With its many historical buildings, Stamford is widely acknowledged to provide one of the most authentic Georgian townscapes in the UK. Easy accessibility to the the train station, Stamford is on the Birmingham to Stansted Airport line, once again only a five minute walk from the apartment. Cross the road and down the side street and you are in Burghley Park. The apartment is also only a stones throw from The George of Stamford, the Bull and Swan and The William Cecil, all great places to go and eat if you don't want to venture to far.
