Welcome to Stacey’s Homely Haven, a sensory-sensitive haven curated by my son Robert but run by myself (Stacey) and my husband (Alan). At the heart of our mission lies a profound understanding of the diverse sensory needs that each individual may have. ​ Robert was injured at only a few weeks old, suffering a traumatic brain injury, leaving him blind in one eye and with numerous sensory and neurodivergent traits. Some of these made it impossible for us to go on holiday as a family together - a story we have heard and continue to hear all too often. ​ Whilst Robert has had his downs, and they were DOWNS! He was fortunate to receive an award for his injuries he sustained and he has decided he wants to "help other children like him" - so he bought a caravan at Cresswell Towers!! ​ From his perspective - he has curated what he wants - a space for children and families to relax. Including sensory lighting, fidget toys and books to read. ​ From our perspective - we have looked at it from a parents perspective, aiming for a homely feel, a haven with mod cons. Including upgrading to USB sockets in all rooms, alongside Freeview and streaming services to keep all the family entertained. ​ Together we have designed a space that is designed to be both like a home from home, and accommodate vast sensory needs. ​ We also work with charities to help us be even more accessible We also conscientiously aim to keep our prices las ow as we can off season - so if hustle and bustle is too much and you are looking for a last minute getaway to decompress, the park is lovely and quiet but there are still plenty of walks and things to do even when the entertainment complex is shut. Stacey's Homely Haven is not just a place to stay, but a sanctuary tailored to sensory comfort where ALL are welcome. ​Hopefully you will come and see for yourself. Northumberland is an area of outstanding natural beauty with stunning beaches, walks and castles galore. There is always something to do. The clubhouse is open from March through to October to keep the kids entertained, the beach is a 5 minute walk away with a very well known ice cream parlour that has a great selection of ice cram flavours to choose from.
