Burford is a great place to visit. The shops are individual and interesting and it is one of the best places for pubs with open fires in winter. It is a very attractive place with many interesting buildings. A short distance away is a wonderful garden centre.
We ate one night at the Highway Inn where we were staying and the next night at the Lamb. Good meals in both.

Burford is a busy Cotswolds town, with plenty of walks, shops and restaurants. You will be able to see everything in 2 days and sample a variety of the local hospitality. Delving into its history reveal’s amazing stories and happenings.
The location was perfect. It is very near the High Street (5 min walk), but is located on a quiet street. The back courtyard and garden is really lovely, especially at night. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant the first night and thought it was good (3 out of 4 stars). Breakfast was in the same restaurant and was very good. The restaurant staff was very good. The room had all one would need: robes, hairdryer, clothes iron, tea & coffee service, desk.
The property is in a fantastic location. Short walk to Burford with free parking and easy access to lots of lovely surrounding villages and towns. Therefore an excellent base for exploring the cotswolds.
The property is clean and welcoming and had a lovely surprise welcome hamper on arrival, with all the essentials and a few added treats too! The property had all the basics, was extremely comfortable and had fantastic views. Can’t wait to visit again!
Stayed with my husband and 2 dogs and were given what seemed like the whole top floor! A room with bathroom on private a-joining corridor. Hotel is on the high street of Burford so easy access for shops and restaurants.
Restaurant dinner and breakfast was excellent with very good vegetarian options. Staff were very friendly and even gave our dogs a bag of treats each during our stay!
We wish we could have stayed longer!
This is a cute little place that had all the enmities I expected for the price. The room was nice and clean. It's off the main street so it was really quiet. The location is great--closed to restaurants, shops, and nice walking paths like the old church on the street behind. I loved the rose garden and the delicious baked goods. I recommend the fruit scone--best I've ever had.
Beautiful dreamy spot—the staff were so nice, perfect food for breakfast and dinner (so good why go anywhere else??!?)—I wish I could stay forever. Torn between wanting to give them the rave they deserve and wanting to keep it a secret place!! I will absolutely be back. Won’t ever stay anywhere else in the Cotswolds!
Anna puts so much thought and care into the property and went above and beyond to accommodate us. The property itself is fantastic, well maintained and very cosy. It's a perfect walking distance to Burford. We especially appreciated all the local knowledge and recommendations Anna shared with us.
Little! It’s possible that I’d mistaken this property for a hotel, while in reality, it was a B&B.
It was near Burford so a plus point as a base.
I felt the staff, the 2 people I saw and most likely management or owners, did try hard but operating in reduced circumstances.
Excellent check in service, nothing to much trouble for the very helpful staff, fantastic location and extremely charming and quaint hotel had a wonderful stay, although no parking at hotel it self ( Which is clearly stated on website) parking throughout Burford is free
Had dinner at the hotel, good choice on the menu, excellent dinner.
Breakfast also very good choice, had the full English, good quality bacon, sausage etc and piping hot, excellent.
Liked the location, small village but not to far from Burford, Stow etc.
Really lovely pub and very cute, decent sized room with large bed & sofa. Spacious bathroom with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion etc, hairdryer and the room was lovely and warm. Evening meal was excellent as were the cocktails & breakfast!
Beautiful old building in the centre of Burford with a lovely garden. Breakfast and evening meals were very good and staff very attentive. Bedroom was lovely and quirky with molton brown toiletries. What a treat. This hotel never disappoints.
This hotel is very central to where we want to be. To Burford and burford garden centre and then also nearby villages. The staff are always friendly and the hotel was very clean. We also ate in the hotel pub/restaurant which was very nice too.
The Cottage is wonderful in all aspects...Comfy, clean and well furnished and equipped.
The location is so peaceful however you are only 10 minutes from Burford shops and restaurants, and less than
that to the wonderful Carpenters arms.
The hotel was lovely. Very welcoming and cosy . Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was lovely too. Great location to some picturesque villages. Just a five minute walk in to Burford High street. Hopefully will return soon .
Nice room, bathroom was small and had limited head height but fine for a night . Nice friendly staff. Location easy access to amenities in Burford. Breakfast is continental, cooked options are extra. Would visit again.
The staff were very friendly.Breakfasts were very good and varied. We really enjoyed the Sunday lunch. The hotel is at the top of the Hill into Burford high street and in a great position to visit the area .
Great ambiance inside and outside. Tons of great sitting areas. Parking was easy on the street. Nice breakfast. Beds were comfortable. Great location. Suggest staying here to explore the Cotswolds.
Overall experience from the hotel. This is a great hotel in the centre of Burford. Lovely cottage cottage at the back where we enjoyed a superb evening dinner.
