Located just south of the historic ’Royal Burgh of Lanark’ which itself is steeped in history, is this gorgeous property in the small area known as Sandilands. Set adjacent to a former railway line at the old Sandilands Railway Station outside Lanark and a 30 minute walk to The Falls of Clyde, close to the World Heritage site at New Lanark and in a rural setting, a few miles inland from the Cairn Lodge services on the M74. The property is best described as an ’upside down’ house, a design implemented to take full advantage of the view over the countryside on the opposite side of the road. The house, which was built in 2022 and completed in autumn, features an open-plan kitchen and dining room on the ground floor, which has been fitted and equipped to high standards. A range cooker will give guests the chance to prepare a ’Masterchef’ style meal for one another and enjoy at the nice dining table. The dishwasher will take care of the mucky bits after dinner so guests can retire upstairs to where the living area and bedroom are located.
