Property information

Stiffkey Hideaway is a single-storey extension attached to the owner's bungalow. Tucked away down a quiet lane that leads to the Blakeney National Trust Reserve, stunning Stiffkey Marshes and North Norfolk coastal path, this really is a secret hideaway. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing location, with a touch of luxury, boasting lovely open views across farmland to the marshes beyond, this place is just for you!

Neighbourhood information

Stiffkey (pronounced stewkey by many) is a beautiful coastal village built on the banks of Stiffkey chalk stream and well known for the narrow and winding road that runs through it. It is also famous for its (Stewkey Blues’) cockles given their distinctive blue hue which comes from the mud they live in. The handy and popular Stiffkey Stores sells newspapers, household essentials and tempting knick-knacks, and is becoming renowned for its delicious home made treats and 'Monmouth' coffee. The Red Lion is an old fashioned, traditional village pub offering good food and a warm Norfolk welcome. The huge horizons and a vast open expanse of the salt marshes with their twisting creeks and muddy basins, create a perfect habitat for a wide range of birdlife, mainly waders and wintering wildfowl, and an array of unusual plant life. The Norfolk Coast Path passes along the perimeter of the salt marshes towards Morston then Blakeney to the east, and westwards to Wells-Next-The-Sea - a superb walk in either direction, with breath-taking views and sightings of birds both winter and summer.
