Oyster Lodge is absolutely perfect for a peaceful getaway with its central location on Mersea Island, a little gem on the Essex coastline.
A self-contained tiny home featuring a king size bed, large shower, living room area and outside terrace - and with no cooking facilities you'll be forced to relax!
Park the car on the drive and leave it there for your stay - we are a 5 minute walk to the village and its many cafes and 5 minutes from the waterfront and its many pubs and restaurants.
Mersea Island offers beautiful coastline walks, world famous oysters and seafood, locally brewed ales and wine, boat trips and water sports. Just be sure to check the tide times as we only have one road on and off the Island and it floods when the tide tops 5 meters, cutting us off from the mainland - perfect!
We are passionate about Mersea Island and love hosting guests so that they can enjoy a slice of our little paradise!
We have a small business on the Island making bespoke wooden furniture, gifts and local artwork.
When we're not working we enjoy messing about on boats in the creeks around the Island.
