Yet we are only a 17 mile drive (approximately 30 minutes) from Inverness City with its top quality attractions, historic sites and restaurants. Our village of Foyers has a local shop with banking facilities, cafe, hotel restaurants, tea house and village green. A rural property set in secluded 6 Acres with burn, ponds and surrounded by wildlife. We are in South Loch Ness, within easy reach of Inverness City. Drive by Loch Ness and see the best views of the Loch on the way to our home and your B&B. South Loch Ness side has the most pretty viewing points of the Loch. Our land is available for you to wander around and forest tracks are very close by for long walks and cycling. We are away from main roads with a sense of rural privacy and quietude. Yet, We also have easy access to the vibrant city of |Inverness , a beautiful homely city with a river running through its centre . It has excellent restaurants and facilities.
We built Sunrise House ourselves so we have an emphasis on our beautiful timberwork and our artwork within the property. We have also made the property low carbon and have deliberately fostered rewilding in the surrounding area so we have a broad range of bird life and wildlife. The sky is wonderful, when clear, because we have no light pollution to obscure the night stars and our wonderful full- moon landscapes. Our mountain view has many moods to enjoy. So we hope you can stay and appreciate our lovely suroundings too.
Our local village, Foyers, has a local shop with banking facilities to get cash. We have hotel restaurants, café, pub, tea house, Village Green with children’s play area. And walks abound. Visit Loch Ness and make excursions to Fort Augustus, Aviemore, Urquart Castle, Castle Leod Strathpeffer, Glen Affric National Nature Reserve, Ullapool, The Ben Nevis Range, Kyle of Lochalsh, Plockton and Isle of Skye. Rock climbing close by at Brin Rock, Ashe Fort and Moy Rock. Walk the South Loch Ness Way. Historic sites to visit from us include Culloden Moor {the Jacobite rebellion}, the remarkably preserved iron age Clava Cairns, Fort Augustus and its famous loch system and restaurants. Have a coffee or beer on Dores Beach and get the best view of the whole length of our famous loch in all its glory. and revel in Loch Ness with its history of the Monster that St Columba tamed!
