About this property
Just meters from Canterbury’s medieval West Gate, this charming building dates back to 1403. The former coaching inn now offers free WiFi and limited parking for hotel residents on a first come first serve basis (please note we can not reserve any parking spaces). All just 2 minutes walk from the city center. The Falstaff still retains many original features, including oak beams and an open log fire. Each room has a TV for guests to use and facilities for making tea and coffee. Ironing facilities are available free of charge on request. The hotel offers a full English breakfast combined with continental self-service buffet. The cocktail bar offers a range of Classic and Signature cocktails along with a selection of local beers, wines and spirits. Canterbury West Rail Station is a 3 minute walk from the building. The city’s spectacular Norman cathedral can be reached in less than 10 minutes on foot.
Couples particularly like the location — they rated it 9.6 for a two-person trip.
