    This is a well-proportioned cottage with plenty of downstairs room to move about in. Convenient for Buxton, Bakewell and the rest of the Peak District. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived, ready for or mucky boots after days out hiking.

Information correct at time of writing. The local village pub, the Queen's Arms is just a short walk away and serves delicious food and local ales. Swallows Nest is ideally located to explore all that the Peak District and surrounding areas has to offer. There are a multitude of activities to enjoy that are suited for all ages. From the Heights of Abraham, where you can see the rolling countryside from up high, to an abundance of stately homes, all the way through to beautiful footpaths and bicycle trails. Immerse yourself in the history of the Peak District and visit Chatsworth House, which contains over 30 rooms full of elegant interiors to explore, alongside one of Europe's most significant art collections. You can wonder around the gardens too, which are known for their historic and modern sculptures and waterworks, or get lost in the maze and Victorian rock garden. The small villages located on the Estate of Chatsworth also have plenty to offer too - from Chatsworth Farm Shop in Pilsley, the beautiful Edensor Tea Cottage in Edensor, or the infamous Devonshire Arms in Beeley. Haddon Hall has over 900 years of history. The hall is brimming with history, with a remarkable tapestry collection, an early English furniture collection, the Elizabethan walled gardens and much more to explore, Haddon Hall will take you back in time and is a wonderful place for a family day out. For a fun family day out, Matlock Farm Park is within driving distance and offers lots of family fun. The farm park offers the chance to feed and pet some of their animals, whilst also offering the chance to see a huge range of native and non-native animals, or you can enjoy a coffee and cake in the cafe, whilst the children make the most of the UK's largest jumping pillow and the indoor rainforest play area!
