Nestled on the edge of the South Downs National Park, The Annexe @ Woodland is on the edge of the Idyllic Village of Bury , with its excellent local Pub 'The Squire & Horse'. It's an ideal base from which to Explore the Arun Valley, Visit Petworth House & Deer Park, Amberley Museum , have a long lunch at the Amazing 'Pig in the South Downs' Restaurant in nearby Madehurst or while away a day in historic Arundel for a Tour of it's restored Medieval Castle and Cathedral and to enjoy it's many Restaurants, Pubs , Cafe's and Quirky Arcade Shops . Fontwell Park Racecourse and the many events at Goodwood Estate, including the Festival of Speed and 'Glorious Goodwood' Race Meeting are also within easy reach.
Bury Village, which sits on the banks of the beautiful River Arun, is a designated international night sky reserve area , due to having virtually no light pollution. It has thatched cottages and a church which dates back to the 12th century and also has a popular Wedding venue tucked away by the River at Bury Manner Barn, with Panoramic views of the River Arun and the Downs beyond . There is a village fete every Summer , popular with both locals and visitors .
