Surrounded by beautiful countryside, the location of The Grain Store is perfect for hiking; you can follow the South Downs Way for miles in either direction. The historic town of Lewes, with its world-famous bonfire celebrations, is close by. Lewes has a rich local history and a vibrant independent spirit with a historic high street, specialist shops, cafés and its very own Norman castle! Brighton and Eastbourne, Firle Place and Charleston are within an easy drive, as are other local attractions such as Monk’s House, Berwick Church, Glyndebourne Opera House, Drusilla’s Zoo, Alfriston Village, Rathfinny Vineyard, Glynde Village and the beautiful cliffs and beaches of the Sussex coastline. The Grain Store is your own slice of paradise in the Sussex Downs and can easily be reached by car. Only an hour from London Victoria to Lewes (where there are taxis). Gatwick airport is roughly 35 minutes drive away. We are about a 15 minute drive to Brighton only 5 minutes drive from Central Lewes. We have enough parking space for five cars with two electrical car charging points.
