Venturing a short distance away, you'll discover the picturesque village of Hawkshead, offering a variety of excellent restaurants. For the adventurous souls, there's the "Go Ape" experience in nearby Grizedale. You can also explore the nearby Claife Viewing Station, Windermere West Shore, and Holehird Gardens. Hawkshead, where the allure that once captivated its most famous residents, William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter, still thrives. As you explore, you'll find yourself wandering through a treasure trove of narrow alleyways, quaint thoroughfares, charming archways, and delightful courtyards nestled amidst the whitewashed 17th-century houses. This village boasts an array of inviting inns, cosy teashops, welcoming guest houses, and delightful gift shops waiting to be discovered.
