Individually curated cabins, completely secluded, nestled in Binevenagh’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the North Coast of Ireland. Spread over 13 acres, The Botháns are a place to escape, explore, unwind and recharge.
The Hideaway - our cosy two-person cabin, nestled on the banks of The Botháns lake, is perfect for a romantic getaway, an escape to the countryside or a tranquil base to explore the stunning Causeway Coast.
The Space - The open plan cabin design ensures you can immerse yourself in the stunning lakeside views - the living, sleeping and kitchen area are all-in-one. This peaceful area has everything you need: a comfy sofa, WiFi and a projector for film nights, a selection of books and games and wood-burner stocked with logs, kindling, firelighters and matches.
Kitchen - The handcrafted kitchen includes a two-ring gas hob, fan oven, fridge, sink, kettle and toaster. Coffee lovers can brew a perfect blend using the drip coffee maker or cafetière. The cupboards are filled with pots, pans, trays, utensils, crockery, cups and glasses.
Bedroom - Snuggle into the comfy king-size bed for a restful night’s sleep. Fitted reading lights above mean you can lose yourself in a good book. The bed has been built with storage drawers underneath. Luxury, soft bed linen is provided.
Bathroom - Enjoy a refreshing walk-in rainfall shower in the ensuite shower room with fitted sink and W/C. Toiletries and towels are provided.
Outdoor Space A covered veranda spreads across the front of the cabin means even in the pouring rain you stay, warm and dry. Blissfully soak and unwind in the wood-fired outdoor bath under the veranda. The bathtub has lakeside views with the sea peeking through the trees in the distance.
Cook a hearty breakfast, or toast marshmallows on the outdoor firepit with outdoor seating. Open fire cooking equipment included.
The Botháns are nestled on Northern Ireland’s breath-taking Causeway Coastal Route.

Mussenden Temple - This stunning 18th century cliff top landmark is less than a 10-minute drive from The Botháns. It’s breathing taking coastal views are not to be missed. Set in the beautiful grounds of the Downhill Demesne, which lead onto Bishop’s Gate Gardens and the Black Glen, it’s the most beautiful place to walk and explore the history of this special North Coast gem.
Binevenagh – Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - We are located on the edge of Binevenagh Mountain, a basalt plateau. Binevenagh has a unique landscape and heritage. There are amazing mountain walks, forests to ramble, lakes to explore and sand dunes to adventure in. Gortmore View point boasts spectacular panoramic views across Magilligan, Inishowen, Islay and Jura in Scotland, and Mussenden Temple and Martello Tower.
Beaches - When it comes to beaches the North Coast is pretty hard to beat – right on our doorstep The Botháns has Blue Flag beaches Castlerock and Downhill. A short drive and you can visit Benone, Portstewart Strand and Portrush beaches. Whiterocks, Whitepark Bay, Ballintoy and Ballycastle beaches are also a short journey by car away.
Walks and Bike Rides - The Botháns is the perfect base for a walking adventure, we are close to parts of the Ulster Way, North Sperrins Way and Sustrans route 93 of national cycle network. The Causeway Coastal Path is also an amazing walk to explore.
