Although I arrived very late in the evening, I was warmly greeted in person by the property owner. Rather than the usual quick handover of keys, he kindly gave me a short tour of the property and made sure I had all the information I might need...

Company information

The Old Rectory was built in 1872 and has 7 acres of grounds, which in turn is surrounded by farmland on three sides,-the grounds are a haven for wildlife. The cottage provides the ideal holiday location if you want to leave behind the strains of town or city living and relax in the tranquil surroundings of a Victorian rectory amidst rolling unspoiled Suffolk countryside-It offers tranquil surroundings for a break that can be as active as you want with country or coastal walks or just relaxing. A very special place to stay -and we want it to remain that way. We are here during your stay in the event that you wish to contact us. We have a good knowledge of the local area which enables us to recommend places or events that many visitors to the area do not get the opportunity to experience and our philosophy is to go the “extra mile” to ensure you have a really enjoyable holiday! We have a pub, an aircraft museum & a brewery within walking distance

Property information

If you are looking for a very special stay then this is the cottage for you. A beautiful renovation formed by the clever conversion of the domestic quarters of the Victorian Rectory, has resulted in a large stylish comfortable courtyard apartment which delivers the "wow" factor. An award-winning spacious cottage just for two based on the Suffolk/Norfolk border. The property is situated in around 7 acres of land, which in turn is surrounded on 3 sides by farm land- a haven for wildlife
