Freston is a charming village, located on the Shotley Peninsular, an awe-inspiring location between the River Orwell and the River Stour. Towards the tip of the peninsular there are extensive views of the Port of Felixstowe, Landguard Fort and Harwich. The landscape is predominantly ancient estate farmlands, salt marshes and mudflats – the latter offer feeding grounds for estuary birds, wild fowl and waders.
