Company info

I'm Chris and, along with my partner and our cat, we are your hosts at 'The Castle B&B' in Rangemore Road, Inverness. We very much enjoy this experience of providing accommodation and in return meeting lots of lovely, interesting people. I love this city, and Scotland, with a passion! I'm originally from the south coast of England, and was spending more and more time up here in the Highlands, or plotting my next trip from London. In 2022 I took the plunge and moved here from London, and am really enjoying the experience. I love the mountains and wild places here in the Highlands, so if you have any questions about these, please ask away. I look forward to meeting people from other wonderful places and will do my utmost to make your stay here as rewarding and comfortable as possible.

Property info

Muyself, my partner, and our cat (Patch) offer a warm and friendly Highland welcome at The Castle B&B. Our lovely Victorian ‘Castle’ is situated in the middle of a quiet street on the west side of the city close to the city centre. There is a large dining room/lounge for our guests with a microwave and fridge which they can use to store goods overnight. There is a private back garden which our guests are free to use if they wish to relax in the evening sunshine or enjoy a cigarette. The stunning Inverness Castle stands majestically in front of you when viewed from our front gate. There are various very nice eating places, supermarkets, corner shops, popular pubs and parks within easy walking distance. Eden Court Theatre is just a ten minute walk away. It is an ideal location for exploring our wonderful city and the stunning countryside and scenery. The beautiful River Ness is a stones throw away for that lovely tranquil evening stroll. The train and bus stations are an easy walk taking about 12 minutes. I'm usually here to meet you, but key lock boxes are available so entry and exit can be operated independently. An access code will be provided for these. Check-in is from 3pm but can be earlier if mutually arranged.

Neighborhood info

The Castle B&B is ideally situated for easy access to the town centre - just a hop across the River Ness! Nearby there is the lovely Eden Court theatre and beside it the majestic St Andrews Cathedral. The Castle itself can be viewed from the front door of the guesthouse. The location is perfect for travellers on the North Coast 500 as it is on the route, so no diversion is required.
