If you want to be right in the heart of Morecambe but eventually want to retreat for peace and quiet, then this cosy cellar is for you. The Morecambe Hotel is great for dining and is right at the end of our street along with a fish and chip shop and it is only a slow 10 minute flat walk along the promenade right into the town centre .Completely renovated in January 2023 and only had holiday let guests in since.
We are Marie and Simon who have both travelled the world extensively when we were younger and actually met in New Zealand. We moved back to England in 2018 to be nearer our parents as they were getting older and bought this house in Morecambe. We love nothing more than exploring the local area with our dog whatever the weather. We love the North of England and have created a beautiful, warm, clean no-frills property where you can relax in between sightseeing or simply put your feet up if you’re working away from home. The place is a 2 min walk to the beach and only 10 minutes from the M6 by car so could be the perfect stopover on your way to the Lake District and beyond. We live very nearby and are always available through the app should you have any questions or concerns and we ask that you always message us first, because we are more than happy to come and resolve them. Please message us as soon as an issue comes to light.
Hornby Terrace is an unusually quiet street just set off from the Town Hall and the promenade. The private road leading up to the property is not level, full of potholes and can get quite muddy during rainy spells. There is a paid car park, a one minute walk from the house, which only costs two pounds for 24 hours. A 2 minute walk straight to the promenade and beach and a flat easy 10 minute walk to the centre of the town where there are plenty of shops, restaurants, pubs, a cinema, a bowling alley and the legendary Winter Gardens venue. A 10 minute drive and you're on the M6, it couldn't be easier.
