The Cob, an exquisite barn conversion designed by the award-winning architects Feilden Fowles, and has it own private hot tub. Comfortably accommodating nine guests, The Cob is thoughtfully transformed with barn features throughout, and expertly merges contemporary design with its agricultural heritage. Clerestory windows, inspired by Norwich Cathedral, line the building inviting ample natural light and offering spectacular countryside views.

Neighbourhood information

Venn Farm is nestled between two nature reserves and has an abundance of wildlife and just a 10-minute drive to Bude and some of the country’s best beaches. The area is great for surfers and body boarders or all levels. Surfing hire can be found at Big Blue Surf School. Summerleaze beach is very popular due to the iconic natural sea pool there. Northcott Mouth, Sandymouth Beach and Duckpool are also very popular and close by to Venn Farm. The area is situated in great proximity for everything outdoors, walking, cycling, kayaking, trekking, coasteering, and of course surfing. There are ancient churches, characterful old pubs & exceptional new restaurants. Bude and the surrounding areas offer a wide range of fantastic places to eat for any budget. Some favourites include, electric bakery, a brilliant local bakery, coombeshead farm – Set in 66 acres Coombeshead is a culinary retreat, with a shop and courtyard cafe. Fine dining in the restaurant in the evenings. Lewannick, Launceston. For a Sunday lunch, be sure to try, woolsery. For some of the best walks in the country, head for the coastal path, or to the moors. One of the most popular cycle routes in the country, the Camel Trail runs from Padstow to Wenford Bridge. Eight miles of flat cycle path with stunning scenery – great for any ability. Only a short drive away you will find Bude Segway, this is a great activity that the whole family will enjoy! You will also find a climbing wall, mobile cave surf hires and axe throwing if you didn’t fancy hopping on a segway, there is plenty for all to enjoy. For golfers, nearby Holsworthy Golf Club, and Bude Golf Club are in easy reach. Information correct at time of writing.
