Stow-On-The-Wold is a delightful ancient Cotswold wool town situated beside The Fosse Way- a Roman road which runs from Exeter to Lincoln, in almost a straight line. Stow has a vast market square which testifies the town’s former importance. Around the square there is an elegant array of Cotswold town houses, antique shops, art galleries, gifts shops and tea rooms. The town also boasts a wide range of cafes, B&B's, pubs and restaurants. On the edge of the Cotswold Hills there are plenty of walks for the keen rambler or bridleways & cycle ways should you choose to take a different mode of transport.
