Located in Ubbeston on Green Valley Farm, this charming former dairy has been converted into a wonderful hideaway for a romantic stay with all that you could want as a home from home while you explore this beautiful part of the countryside.
Neighbourhood information
Green Valley Farm is situated in a peaceful, rural location between the villages of Ubbeston and Laxfield. It is possible to walk into Laxfield from the cottage using footpaths and there is a welcome drink awaiting you at The King's Head. If you fancy trying some local produce it is worth heading to Peasenhall to sample some of the treats available at Emmett's or call in at the Two Magpies Bakery in Darsham and you can even try your hand at making some of the delicious bread.
The coast is just half an hours' drive away. You can choose from the bustling towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold or head to quieter stretches such as Dunwich and Minsmere where you can experience the wild landscape of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Minsmere is also home to the RSPB nature reserve and provides opportunities to spot both bird and other wildlife along with flora which is unique to this habitat. Aldeburgh and Southwold have lots of independent shops, restaurants and cafes along with other attractions such as Adnams and Fishers Gin Distillery tours.
The market towns of Framlingham and Halesworth are interesting places to explore. The castle in Framlingham and St Michael's Church are worth visiting and there is a lively market on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The Cut Arts Centre in Halesworth has a busy programme of events on and Snape Maltings, the world renowned concert hall is not far away.
