Nestled amongst nature, a stones throw from our stunning fishing lake, The Dragonfly offers guests all the modern comforts with a rustic, back to nature feel. A Comfy Double Bed, Finest Egyptian Cotton Linen, Waterfall Shower & Large Bespoke Kitchen gives a home from home feel. The private lakeside patio is the perfect space to enjoy sunrise & morning coffee or Alfresco dining. Wildlife watching, countryside/woodland walks, fishing, paddle boarding or open water swimming await our guests.
I’m a full time Mum to 3 gorgeous children and Owner / Manager of Hawton Waters. Love the outdoors, nature and enjoying the beautiful countryside around us. I very much looking forward to welcoming you to our little piece of heaven. We offer remote check in so unless you need us we won’t always be there to greet you upon check in. All details will be provided in plenty of time to ensure this is seamless and hassle free for our guests. Throughout your stay we can be contacted by mobile or email and living on site we are around to help most of the time if needed.
Parking is approx 25 yards from the shepherds hut entrance. A short and enchanting walk through a fairy lit woodland along a pathway leads to your accommodation. In summer months cars can park nearer to shepherd hut if needed. The Dragonfly is set within over 40 acres of private grassland and over looks a 14 acre well stocked fishing lake. Guest can enjoy unspoilt, panoramic views of countryside, water and farmland in a peaceful, private and tranquil setting. The sunrises over the lake and sets over our woodland for a truly breathtaking experience. A walk along our farm track leads to Hawton Waters Woodland where guests can explore over 170 acres of private woodland and walks along the River Devon which runs through our farm. On site guests are able to hire paddle boards, bicycles, fish or open swim the lake or simply spend hours of walking in quiet secluded countryside.
