The house was beautiful and felt so homely. The rooms were spacious and wonderfully decorated, bathrooms were clean and nicely appointed. Fabulous selection of tea and coffee with the lovely added bonus of a well stocked mini bar with local spirits.

This property was absolutely stunning. Everything was a work of art, even the teacups and crockery at breakfast. We felt very well looked after . The bed was so comfortable and the breakfast was really tasty.

Company information

We were born and brought up in the local area then spent the last 20 years travelling for work. Adventures in Copenhagen, Croatia, Mallorca, Lisbon, Tulum and the Muskokas in Canada inspired us to return home and create something special of our own.

Property information

Nestled in the cobbled causeways, The Dundonald Guesthouse & Cottage proudly takes centre stage in the historic village of Culross. The Dundonald has been welcoming guests for 170 years providing needed rest, relaxation, and refreshments to travellers and visitors of Culross. Our circa 1850 Coach House Inn has been lovingly restored to offer luxury accommodation in the former Royal Burgh of Culross where slow paced village life is daily reality, steeped in history and immersed within galleries, an abbey, castles, a palace, cafes and a local pub.

Neighbourhood information

Close your eyes and it’s easy to imagine the gentle clip-clop of hooves on the cobbled causeway leading to this ancient coach house in the heart of Culross, an enchanting 17thC town between Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth. Its streets are paved with old, from the ruinous beauty of the hillside abbey to the magnificent mustard-hued palace – and you may well recognise it: this is a popular film location, and the bonnie backdrop for Outlander.
