The Forest is a Bed and Breakfast offering Victorian elegance with modern day comforts. Each of the 5 double bedrooms is uniquely decorated with the highest quality furnishings and fabrics. All are en-suite and offer stunning views over the gardens and Kerry Valley. The Forest is set in the countryside about 3 miles from Newtown down a quiet country lane.
The Forest is owned and managed by ourselves, Paul and Jules We have a couple of pets which include Trudie our labradoodle and Sooty our cat. Both are very friendly and a big hit with our young visitors. We also have free ranging chickens, two Angora goats and a small flock of Soay Sheep which in the late spring usually have a few lambs at foot.
The tranquil setting in rural wales making it an ideal base for exploring the many attractions of Mid Wales including Powis Castle National Trust at Welshpool and the pretty market town of Montgomery with its castle ruins, great places to eat and wonderful views. Less than a mile away is Kerry village which has a pub restaurant and its miles to Newtown, a 13th century market town with a choice of shops and restaurants.
