About this property
The Ganton Greyhound is a 16th Century coaching inn, located in an enviable position between Malton and Scarborough, therefore allowing guests easy access to the coastal resorts (Scarborough, Filey, Bridlington, Whitby) and inland treasures such as York, Pickering, Helmsley, Malton, Flamingo Land and the North Yorkshire Moors. Not only ideal for those wishing to explore all that North Yorkshire has to offer, we are also well suited to those walking the Wolds Way (approx 2 minutes walk away), and to golfers wishing to play on the challenging championship course of Ganton Golf Club (approx. 5 minutes walk). We have a bar on site, and guests can relax with a drink in the lounge, bar, snug or comfortable and spacious beer garden (subject to weather conditions of course)! We also have a restaurant offering hearty home-cooked meals using local produce. Dogs are very welcome to stay at the Ganton Greyhound, in one of our allocated dog friendly rooms in the courtyard. They are also welcome in the bar and beer garden, and at breakfast and dinner we have specific dining areas for guests and their four-legged friends. All rooms have recently been redecorated and recarpeted, and have an en suite bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities, television and seating area. We offer free private parking on site too - all surrounded by beautiful North Yorkshire countryside!
Couples particularly like the location — they rated it 9.3 for a two-person trip.
