This 18th century Granary is the perfect hideaway, set in a peaceful secluded rural location of Thorington. The Granary Cottage offers beautiful views across rolling fields and countryside and is only a short walk away from Thorington Theatre, a natural amphitheatre nestled into the woodlands. A wonderful choice for those who love nature, yet like to be within easy reach of fantastic market and coastal towns.

The Granary Cottage is perfectly situated to explore the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and within easy reach of popular coastal towns Aldeburgh and Southwold.
If you do not wish to get in the car, Thorington Theatre with events running throughout the summer months is only a short stroll away. A short walk across the fields you will find Husk supper clubs, known for their home-grown produce and were recently mentioned as one of the best places to eat in Suffolk.
There is a well-stocked village shop and two lively pubs in the neighbouring village of Wenhaston, and also very close, Bramfield also has an excellent farm shop, butchery and deli and award-winning pub. The independent market town of Halesworth, is only a ten min drive away where the local large Co-Op is open until 10pm. It is also worth a visit for its number of restaurants and independent food shops. The Angel Hotel and Pub has an excellent Italian Restaurant, Edwards serves food with an emphasis on sourcing local produce where possible. There are various café’s; the Black Dog Deli is especially good. If you fancy having a picnic to fuel your day out exploring, Focus Organic has lots of tasty treats on offer.
Southwold and Walberswick are just a short drive away. For the more adventurous you can cycle over to Walberswick and get the ferry across to Southwold. There are numerous walks from Southwold; the stunning, untamed, sandy beach of Covehithe is accessible at low tide, or you may prefer to stroll the promenade by the beach huts and award-winning pier with quirky amusements, or wander into town to enjoy the shops, restaurants, gift stores, clothes shops and more. Bike hire is available from Southwold Cycle Hire which is close to Old Hall Cafe and walks.
RSPB Minsmere Nature Reserve is close by with beautiful walks and opportunities to witness rare birds and wildlife, including avocets, bearded tits and bitterns. Dunwich Heath and Beach has further stunning...
