The Green House is in the perfect location and the huge decking area takes full advantage of this giving you a perfect view of the Isle of Skye across Kyle Rhea - keep your eyes peeled for seals and porpoise. The house itself is well equipped with...

Wow! What a view! The Green House faces the mountains of Skye and the view is spectacular. Everything you need is provided. We stayed six nights. Glenelg is very isolated with one very small shop and a pub, so stock up with everything you need!

The Green House is a romantic hideaway for two – a private cabin by the sea, overlooking the Isle of Skye. Rustic and charming with a wood burning stove, four poster bed, and a wood-fired Finnish hot tub. From here, you can hear waves lapping against the pebble beach and watch clouds formed by the Atlantic Ocean roll over blue-tinted hills. This experience would suit independent and intrepid folk who feel comfortable with wheelbarrows and building fires!
I'm a landscape architecture student. The Green House was founded by my late father: a wild, generous, and irrepressible man, who's favourite colour was green – hence the colour and namesake of the Green House!
Glenelg is a peninsula overlooking the Isle of Skye. It is a place that feels a world apart, surrounded by mountains and scattered with hidden coves. This remote community is steeped in history, and has a communal and enterprising spirit. The easiest way to get to Glenelg is by car. Although, there are bus services from Inverness and Glasgow that take you to Shiel Bridge, from where you can arrange to have a BUG taxi (Bus Users' Group taxi) pick you up and take you to your desired destination. Once you are in Glenelg, you can hire a bike to get around.
