Just a 10 minute walk from Scratby beach, The Heathers provides a fantastic base for exploring the beautiful Norfolk coastline. The Heathers is a newly renovated, semi-detatched bungalow now taking bookings for 2023 and beyond. The bungalow comprises of a modern living room, two bedrooms, a brand new fully equipped kitchen, a walk-in wet room bathroom and a garden area. The living room contains a large sofa, Flat Screen TV, a selection of family games and a touch of local decor. The Living Room also contains a 4 seater dining table and a single fold out sofa bed which is designed for a child. The new fully equipped kitchen contains an oven/grill, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery, table-wear, utensils, washing machine and cleaning products. The walk-in wet room is an accessible area. It contains a walk-in shower, toilet, sink, mirror and towels. The master bedroom contains a double bed with bed linen. In the room, you can find bedside tables, a mirror, clothes rail and a large window with curtains and blinds. The second bedroom contains twin single beds, a clothes rail and a window looking out to the rear garden. The garden area is well maintained and has a new patio seating area! Entry to the garden is through a three foot gate. The large outside table seats up to 5 guests. Please use a disposable BBQ on the wire rack and BBQ utensils can be found in the kitchen. For your four-legged family members, there is a dog bowl, a spare towel and poo bags. All bed linen and guest towels are provided. Scratby beach is a good-sized stretch of sand and shingle set along low sandy cliffs. It is popular for fishing and swimming although there is no lifeguard. During the winter months there can be quite good waves here making it popular with surfers. The beach is also an ideal place for walkers as it stretches along the coast for many miles in either direction. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round. To the south, visitors can walk to the town of Caister-On-Sea or even to Great Yarmouth, whilst to the north you can walk to Hemsby Beach, and on to Winterton Dunes National Nature Reserve. The village of Scratby has a local shop, post office and gift shop. During the summer months there is also a variety of entertainment. The Pink Palace Amusements are situated near the beach where you can tuck into some delicious donuts or ice cream. Other local eateries found in the village include pubs, takeaways, a tearoom and a bakery all within a short walk from The Heathers. From picturesque coastal paths, endless flowing water making up the Norfolk Broads and a historic city centre, Norfolk has something for all the family to enjoy!
