Sleeping 10/12 people plus infants, the large rooms, sociable living spaces, dining table to seat 12/14 and generous five bathrooms make The Highlands the perfect house for spending time with your family and friends. Whether you cosy up in front of the log burner during the colder months or open up the bifolds onto the patio in summer, everyone can stretch out and relax in this large house whatever the weather. The large well equipped kitchen boasts two Bosch ovens, an induction hob and dishwasher and it is the hub of the home. There's a sofa plus further seating for 7 around the island. With full size fridge and freezer, separate wine fridge plus a utility room with laundry facilities, you'll find everything you need for both shorter or longer stays and also for entertaining in style. On the ground floor are two bedrooms , both with en-suite shower rooms. Bedroom 2 can be a twin room or superking, just let us know your preference. There is also a family bathroom with a whirlpool bath on the ground floor, making this house suitable for those who prefer to avoid stairs. Upstairs are 3 further bedrooms, 1 with an en-suite shower room. The 2 further bedrooms share the family shower room. The Highlands sleeps 10 adults plus 2 children (or small adults) in guest beds. The guest beds can be added to any bedroom to suit your requirements. There is ample room for your own travel cots in the bedrooms as well. Outside, you'll approach the house down a long private driveway with plenty of parking.The south west facing patio area is perfect for sundowners, and bbq's. Set within 3/4 acre of land and there is space for youngsters to play, although please be aware that the driveway is not gated. Indoors, there is a snug/playroom with table football and a full size basketball net to keep entertained if the weather's not so good.

Situated a 5 minute drive from Newmarket, the horse racing capital of the UK, 20 mins from Cambridge and within 30 mins of the delightful towns of Bury St Edmunds, Ely and Saffron Walden, The Highlands is well placed for everything East Anglia has to offer. Newmarket is an historic town with plenty to explore. Tattersalls horse sales, the National Stud and the Horse racing museum are fascinating and the flat racing summer season is always a winner. Full details are available on the Jockey Club website. In addition, London or Norfolk and Suffolk coast are all accessible within 1.5 hours. Exning village has 3 pubs, the local being The White Horse which offers good reasonably priced pub grub. It is a 10 min walk from the house. There are numerous eateries of all styles in Newmarket and the surrounding villages and we'll be pleased to offer suggestions if that would be helpful.
