Situated at the foot of Mount Helvellyn, in the heart of the Lake District, this former 17th century coaching Inn boasts spectacular views toward St Johns in the Vale, Blencathra and Skiddaw. The King's Head Inn is perfectly situated close to the shores of Lake Thirlmere and within easy reach of walking routes, including Helvellyn (right behind the Inn), as well as all the main attractions in the nearby Lake District towns of Windermere, Ambleside and Keswick. With 17 en suite bedrooms, comprising of doubles and twins, all with views of the surrounding fells, the King’s Head also features a Lakeland Speciality Store offering a wide range of local food, drinks and gifts from the finest Cumbrian producers.
