Please note check-in timings are from 3pm due to cleaning but if you require an earlier check-in time, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will try to accommodate if we can. PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT THE NIDE (ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT WITH GARDEN) IS THE ONLY PROPERTY THAT IS DOG-FRIENDLY. ALL OF THE OTHER PROPERTIES HAVE A NO PET POLICY.

Property information

This self-catering accommodation is within a converted hayloft barn that has been beautifully restored, situated on the owner’s working arable farm, surrounded by stunning views and farmland. The Linhay at Holmewood Estate is a collection of self-catering accommodation that within each property provides a characterful open plan kitchen/living space and bedroom with ensuite and parking for one vehicle, except The Hollow which has two parking spaces and a sofa bed for an extra charge for up to an additional 2 people. Each property has been designed with its own unique style to preserve the charms found within the building. A small selection of breakfast items are provided within each property and toiletries for customers to use, along with fresh linen and towels. Please note a high chair is available but please contact the owner to enquire about reserving this item with your booking. The 25-acre field opposite the accommodation is also available for enjoying the great outdoors and a separate beautiful black barn next to the property that is available to book for guests to use with further discussion with the owner for functions or special events. The Nide is our dog-friendly property with its own private, enclosed patio/garden accessible from the front of the property and via the bedroom French windows, for sole use of The Nide guests only. The Linhay sits nestled on our family run arable farm at Holmewood Estate where a range of crops are grown in a regenerative system. This means they are grown in a sustainable way with as little intervention to the soil and nature as possible while we constantly work to improve the natural ecosystem of the farm. The farm is interspersed with ancient woodlands and environmental stewardship which is host to 8 red list species birds and 5 amber list including starlings, skylarks and linnets. There is also the occasional animal that can be found such as chickens, a farm cat and a few dogs, alongside pheasants, partridges and deer.

Neighbourhood information

Beautiful country walks can be enjoyed from the doorstep with access to a 25-acre field for guests to use. Also conveniently located just off the A1 and halfway between the larger towns of Peterborough (11 miles) and Huntingdon (13 miles) which have all the local amenities you would need including choice of shops, eateries, and leisure facilities. The attractive and historic market towns of Oundle (11 miles) Stamford (16 miles), St Ives (16 miles), Oakham (27 miles) and Cambridge (30 miles) have lots of eateries, shops, and interesting places to explore. Please note we are a working arable farm and farm vehicles and machinery may be in use at times near the property. Please also note that as the farm and The Linhay accommodation is located conveniently close to the A1, depending on the wind direction, traffic noise may be heard when outside of the property.
