All properties are fully detached self-contained units. Parking is available immediately outside each house. We have invested & continue to invest in all the properties. We have installed good speed wi-fi into all the houses. We have invested in new linen, bedding, laundry facilities and bedding. All the two bedroom houses were fitted with replacement double glazing. There are shared fire pits and guests can request BBQ's. One of our 4 bedroom houses has a disabled ramp. The remainder of our properties are accessed via steps. 2 houses are strickly prohibited for pet owners. The remainder of our properties are all pet friendly.
We are a friendly husband and wife team who took on the challenge of running the Littlle Houses in 2017. David left corporate life behind & Beverley left her beloved music teaching behind. She continues to teach music in the local area. We enjoy hill walking, horse riding, skiing, mountain biking, motor cycling, kayaking & nature between us & that is a big part of the draw of the area for us. We have 2 children, 1 cat, 3 ponies, 2 guinea pigs, 1 budgie & 5 chickens at the time of writing. We are also visited by Sikka deer most days. We are happy to pass on information about the beautiful & historic local area. Our primary hope is that we can offer help and advice for you to enjoy an active or restful break in the Scottish Highlands.
Roy Bridge is a quiet village with great transport links with the rest of the UK. The Caledonian Sleeper rail service connects London Euston with Roy Bridge. The village has 2 restaurants/pubs and a café.. There are plenty of woodland in the local area. See our website for further details on activities in the local area. The last clan battle was fought in the village in 1688. Popular activities in the local area include:- 1) Harry Potter / the Jacobite Express Steam Train / Glenfinnan 2) Climbing Ben Nevis - The UK's highest mountain & many other less populated mountains! 3) Isle of Skye 4) Glencoe 5) Mountain biking, Nevis Range from World Cup Downhill track to the UK's longest downhill that can be ridden by most people, Laggan Wolftracks & Glencoe for uplift services. Alternatively take the train to Corrour station & cycle back. 6) The Parellel Roads of Glen Roy. 7) Many guests like seeing our ponies, free range chickens, red squiell(s), wild birds & wild deer. 8) Wildlife cruises 9) Fort Augustus & Loch Ness cruises The nearest shop is the Spar shop in Spean Bridge, with more supermarkets available in Fort William. Multiple petrol stations are available in Fort William, Invergarry, Dalwhinnie, Newtonmore, Aviemore & Fort Augustus have petrol stations.
