The Lodge in the Loch has to be the most stunning location on Skye. The waters of Storr lochs, literally lap, gently against the walls of this historic wee Lodge. Views to the Iconic Old Man of Storr across the lochs, will leave you breathless, there is no better view of this Iconic Skye landscape or any property closer to the water's edge. Virtually every room boasts views of The Old Man or of the loch & the garden slopes down right into the loch.
The Lodge in the Loch sits on banks of Storr Loch’s, nestled into the Trotternish ridge, below the most iconic Skye landmark, the Old Man of Storr. It has the best trout fishing in the UK (fly only). You can hire a boat, walk to Bonnie Prince Charlie’s cave, or down to the bay to look for dinosaur fossils! A walk to the Storr is an unforgettable experience. We are just a few minute’s drive from Portree, the capital of the island, you can find arts and crafts, banks and P.O. There are renowned eateries offering the best seafood! The apartment sits on the Trotternish Ridge, a 20 mile landslip with stunning rock formations, this offers fabulous walks along its length. Otters and eagles can be regularly seen from the windows, garden and surrounding areas
