Beautiful one bedroom fully equipped, self contained apartment in the thriving Welsh market town of Newcastle Emlyn. Just a short 200 metre walk to the high street with 6 public houses, 2 Indian restaurants, take-away's and shops, so close to everything but quiet and peaceful with its own off street parking. Private entrance via key code box. Good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. We can provide one cot and one high chair for a small baby and/or two fold up beds for 1 or 2 small children up to 12 years of age. Considerate dog owners welcome, please advise at time of booking you wish to bring a dog (maximum 1 and small cleaning fee payable on arrival). There is a cosy log fire for winter nights. We provide a large basket of logs, kindling and fire lighters which should be enough for 3-4 evenings. More if required can be purchased from many of the local shops, and garages. In addition there is electric heating free of charge. Please note that the stairs to the bedroom are steep and may not be suitable for those with impaired mobility or young children. The pretty high street is an attractive shopping destination and offers an array of independent shops, art and crafts and antique centres. When a well-earned rest is needed there are restaurants, cafes and pubs to satisfy your needs. Newcastle Emlyn is now also a Fair Trade town and many of the pubs and shops are dog friendly. . Not to be missed is the lovely scenic riverside walk around the 13th century Norman castle ruins that overlooks the River Teifi and points to the strategic importance once held by this town. Newcastle Emlyn is a bustling hub of rural life with a strong sense of community that works hard together to organise the many events and festivals which are held annually within the town. Straddling the Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire border, Newcastle Emlyn provides a perfect base from which to explore the best of both counties and also nearby North Pembrokeshire.
