In the picturesque Dart Valley, 5 miles from Totnes, The Maltsters Arms is an 18th-century riverside inn offering high-quality en suite accommodation. Once owned by celebrity chef Keith Floyd, this south Devon pub and restaurant has a waterside terrace, free parking and free Wi-Fi. Each guest room at The Maltsters Arms has an en suite shower or bath, with hairdryer, towels and complementary toiletries. There is a TV with satellite channels, and tea and coffee facilities in all rooms. A home-cooked full English breakfast is served each morning, with a vegetarian version also available. The restaurant offers a wide choice of fresh, seasonal dishes including daily market fish specials and surf and turf. A selection of local ales and an extensive wine list is also on offer. Just over 12 miles from Dartmoor National Park, Tuckenhay is within 30 minutes’ drive of Torquay, Dartmouth, Brixham and Paignton. You can reach the vibrant cathedral city of Exeter and the Devon/Cornwall border within 45 minutes.

Property information

Please read before booking: The Maltsters Arms is now operating on our autumn/winter opening hours timetable, which means our pub and restaurant spaces are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Our lovely hotel rooms can still be booked by guests seven days a week but please note that breakfast options on Monday and Tuesday mornings will be a continental option and dinner cannot be booked with us on Monday and Tuesday evenings. And Sunday meal service is noon to 5pm with no evening service. We would be very happy to recommend some lovely local pubs and restaurants and book a table for you. We look forward to welcoming you to The Malsters – the legendary pub by the river in delightful Devon.
