Located on the High Street in the heart of the historic market town of Dronfield, on the edge of the Peak District, and approximately 7 miles from the vibrant city of Sheffield, this Grade II listed historic hotel has charm and character in abundance. It has a large café-style lounge, and a traditional bar area with original feature stone walls and beams. It offers free Wi-Fi and ample parking. Each of the exquisitely decorated guestrooms features a flat-screen HD TV, an en-suite bathroom, a hairdryer plus tea/coffee making and ironing facilities. Breakfast is served in the café lounge from 07:00 (08:00 weekends) until noon, and coffees, teas, cakes, bakes, scones and other treats are also available all day every day. The town centre offers a number of food venues to choose from for evening meals, including a gastro pub located next door and an long established Indian restaurant directly opposite. There are also other local restaurants, take-aways, shops, chemists and sports facilities within a few minutes walk. It is a 10-minute drive to the beautiful countryside of the Peak District and just 15 minutes from the entertainment and leisure facilities in Sheffield and Chesterfield. The world-famous visitor attractions of Chatsworth House, Hardwick Hall and the town of Bakewell, are all within a 30-minute drive.
