Neighbourhood information

Information correct at time of writing. Goudhurst is perfectly situated for exploring all that Kent has to offer. With over 200 listed buildings in the village and array of small independent shops and cafes scattered along the pretty high street, Goudhurst is steeped in history and is the perfect place to stretch your legs after a day spent exploring the nearby towns of Cranbook and Tunbridge Wells. Goudhurst is home to one of the oldest estates in Kent; Bedgebury has been many things over the centuries and it now stands proudly as Bedgebury Pinetum and is home to a world-leading collection of conifers and over 12,000 specimen trees. Bedgebury Pinetum is the perfect place to surround yourself with the beauty of nature - there is even a cafe on-site, perfect for refuelling after a day spent admiring the beautiful trees and plants. Kent is home to many National Trust properties that are a must-see. There are so many to choose from, all of which are full of history. If you want the pleasure of being surrounded by nature in a beautiful garden, then Emmets Garden is the perfect destination. With its variation of rock gardens, rose gardens, woodland areas and a tasty teashop, it is the perfect place to while away the day. Tunbridge Wells is the home to Scotney Castle, which can be dated back to the 14th Century; this beautiful moated castle sits in a breathtaking wooded estate and shares the landscape with a Victorian country mansion too. Whilst staying at The Mews, you can also visit the home of Sir Winston Churchill; Chartwell is bursting with history and is home to many of Sir Winston Churchill's personal belongings and that of his family too, allowing you to spend the day wondering through the halls of his stately home, or meandering around the beautiful walled gardens. If you're looking for an adventure, head over to Go Ape in Bedgebury and take on the Treetop Challenges. Go Ape is home to a 170 metre zip, which winds through brushes of greenery and...
