A warm welcome is guaranteed at The Old Dairy, a pretty holiday let perfect for romantic breaks right in the heart of the Norfolk Broads. This detached barn was formerly an old dairy and is under new ownership. It has been converted into a self catering holiday let which stands within the shared courtyard of the owners' home. It is available to book all year round.
The Old Dairy is suitable for people with limited mobility as it is all on one level with a large wet room.
Well behaved dogs (2 maximum) are welcome. Dog bowls and doggie towels provided.
Sandra and Michael look forward to welcoming you to their property. They moved to Norfolk in April 2018 after falling in love with Norfolk after 3 years of visits. They are keen cyclists and enjoy exploring the local areas on their bikes.
The Old Dairy is situated close to Hickling Broad, a haven for bird watchers, fishing, windsurfing and sailing. There are many beautiful beaches nearby. We are so lucky to be living so close to the wonderful Horsey Seals. Fabulous to see that the birthing season has started, around 2000 are expected to be born this birthing season. The beaches are closed off to allow the seals to birth undisturbed but there are viewing areas so you can watch them from a safe distance. Our dog friendly holiday let is a 15 min drive from the Horsey seals or if you like a nice cycle like we do, it’s about 8km and we get there in around 25-30 minutes by 🚲
Feeling hungry and thirsty after all that cycling or walking? The wonderful Greyhound Pub is a 5 minute walk from property and serves delicious home cooked food. Likewise the Pleasureboat Inn is only a 15 minute walk and also serves tasty food.
