    The property has a keypad which was very easy to operate. The apartment was very clean and very spacious and the owners left nice little touches for us such as tea and coffee and some chocolates as it was Easter.

Nestled within the friendly market town of Brampton, Cumbria is our newly renovated apartment, The Old Gables. On the first floor you will find a lovely, bright and spacious living room leading through to a large modern well equipped kitchen, with an island unit and bar stools. Heading up stairs to the 2nd floor are two immaculately presented bedrooms both with ensuites. The main bedroom has a wonderful super king bed and second bedroom has two cosy single beds. **Please note this apartment is located on the 1st and 2nd floor with staircase access, there is no lift within our Grade II listed property. Due to the none standard sizes of the doorways we are unable to fit stairgates for young children. Parking for one car is available within our family car park during your stay, plus free overnight parking is possible outside the apartment in parking controlled areas. Parking discs can be obtained from the Post Office free of charge. One well behaved pet may be allowed, with prior consent. Step outside and you'll find a wonderful array of cafes, food halls, butchers, antique shops, restaurants, takeaways and more on your doorstep. We have wonderful local walks too, but buses, trains and taxis are all to hand should you wish to venture further afield, maybe take a walk along Hadrians Wall, or a trip to the Lake District or the Scottish Borders.
Our family have lived in Brampton for many years now and love seeing visitors exploring this thriving little market town. When we're not working, you'll find us out and about on one of the local walks with our dogs! With everything so handy, we're sure you'll have a great stay and we are always to hand if needed - just drop us a message.
Brampton is a thriving market town full of independently ran shops, cafes and restaurants. There are great transport links through to Carlisle or Newcastle with the bus stop being just a few minutes walk away. Talkin Tarn Country Park is a 40 minute walk, Birdoswald Roman Fort/Visitor Centre is a short 15 minute drive in the car, Historic Carlisle, the Castle and the award winning Tullie House Museum is a 20 min drive
