Pennant is a small hamlet between Llanidloes, Machynlleth and Llanbrynmair, close to Snowdonia National Park and Aberystwyth, making this an ideal location for cycling, walking or just sightseeing. Glyndwr's Way and Sustrans route 8 are easily reached from here. As members of the Cyclists and Walkers Welcome Scheme, we offer various extras for our walking and cycling guests, including: * A drop off and pick up service along Glyndwr's Way, * Secure lock-up for bikes, * A drying facility for wet clothes * Transfer of luggage to your next port of call. All our produce is locally sourced and we offer homemade preservatives and free-range eggs from the chickens in our garden (hopefully). Packed lunches and evening meals are available on request, we need at least 12 hours notice for this service, the service is mainly for walkers and cyclists, evening meals available from 5pm to 7pm only Take time to relax in our rear garden and spacious conservatory whilst we prepare you hearty, home cooked meals, leaving you nothing to do but enjoy the peace and quiet. TV and free Wi-Fi are freely available throughout The Old School House should you wish to stay in contact with the outside world. If you have any queries or would like to book, we would love to hear from you. Karen and Bernie
Both of us retired in 2007 and came up to Wales from Sussex, we fell in love with this part of Wales when we were Scout leaders and we brought the Scouts up here for the walking and various activities. There is so much to do up here from walking, cycling, rafting caving and lots more. We started the B&B in 2010 and enjoy the meeting of new people. When guests stay they always comment on how peaceful the area is and the scenery is fabulous. We offer packed lunches and evening meals for the first night stay, but they have to be requested 12hrs before hand, the nearest pub is 4 miles away but if you are walkers we don't mind taking you there and picking you up.
