Lovely setting in a very quiet tiny village with cows grazing in the field behind. No steps, roll under sinks and accessible showers were so nice we my daughter is a wheelchair user. Very comfy beds and pillows.

Beautiful accessible accommodation, set in parkland on the edge of an idyllic village, in the heart of England's smallest county. A thoughtful modern barn conversion with accessibility designed in, level thresholds throughout, wide corridors, generous bathrooms, roll under sinks and hobs, twin, king, super king sized beds with superb parkland views. Finished with non slip luxury floorings, oak and slate with underfloor heating and ventilation designed to keep cool in summer. Welcoming hosts are on hand as they live and work in the village on their traditional family farm. Air source heat pump, solar panels and underfloor heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and 20MB Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for wood burner included Mid October - March, additional baskets available to purchase, grown, cut and seasoned on the farm. Enclosed back garden with patio planted with herbs, charcoal bbq, sitting-out area, boot/dog wash tap and garden furniture. Barbecue. Private parking for 3 cars. up to 3 dogs welcome subject to additional charge
Hello, we are farmers. We have lovingly converted Castle Chase Cottages from disused stables and garages in to holiday cottages in the village of Ayston. We decided early on that accessibility was really important to us so have designed Castle Chase to be user friendly for as many people as possible, with level thresholds, wheelchair friendly kitchens and bathrooms, bedrooms and driveways. We are entirely step free! I am an EV driver so both properties have a 7.4kw charger for your exclusive use on a private driveway with an enclosed garden.
Close to Uppingham, Oakham & Stamford where you’ll find an array of local facilities, local businesses of shops, cafés, tea rooms and restaurants. Well situated for attractions such as Rutland water with its 4200 acres of open countryside and nature reserves, with stunning walks, bird watching at the local nature reserve, fishing, rock climbing, high ropes, golf, crazy golf, boat trips, water sports including windsurfing, sailing, canoeing, Aqua park, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding during the summer. There are plenty of places to visit including Burghley House with its annual horse trials, 18 miles, Boughton House, Barnsdale Gardens, Sacrewell Farm, Rockingham Castle and Market towns slightly further afield including Oundle, Market Harborough and Melton Mowbray. Pub and restaurant 1 mile. We recommend you bring a car unless you are a very keen walker To find the properties follow the road from the A47 roundabout through the village towards Ridlington, you will the see the golden render on the end wall of The Stables on your left as you come round the last corner, with the white park railings on your right.
