Property information

If you wish to stay in a guest house, close to the beautiful EXMOOR NATIONAL PARK, yet only 10 minutes walk from the fantastic West Somerset coast and enjoy our Award Winning Breakfast with many ingredients sourced locally then book The Parks Guest House. We have been awarded a 4 star rating by Visit England. We are located in a quiet area of Minehead but are only a 5 minute walk into town, where many shops, restaurants and other amenities can be found. We have a private car park at the rear of the property which can be accessed from Parks Lane. We have a mixture of double, twin and family rooms. Single occupancy is available. Dogs are welcome at an additional charge but are not allowed int he dining room during breakfast.

Neighbourhood information

We are situated on the edge of Exmoor and close to the Quantock Hills, where there are plenty of walks available to suit all abilities and villages and tea rooms to explore, incuding the Lorna Doone Valley, setting for the novel by RD Blackmore. The South West Coast Path starts in Minehead and continues via Lands End to Poole in Dorset. Many people start their holiday with us and walk just the first few stages of the coast path walk. The West Somerset Coast Path also heads in the opposite direction up the Bristol Channel. The Coleridge Way also passes close by. No visit to Minehead is complete without a trip on the West Somerset Steam Railway, a 20 mile trip through the Quantock Hills to Bishops Lydiard, with the option to get off and explore stations and villages along the route. The medieval village of Dunster with its castle (National Trust) is less than 3 miles away. A visit to Lynton and Lynmouth across the other side of Exmoor is a delightful way to spend a day browsing amongst the shops and tea rooms.
