Kelling is a picture perfect Norfolk village, ideally located between Salthouse and Weybourne on the coast road and just a few minutes drive from the bustling Georgian market town of Holt. It has a long history, once being a renowned smugglers haven and much of the village is still owned by the Kelling Estate. The Old Reading Room, gallery and tea room is just a few minutes walk away and serves tasty home cooked food with great books and antiques to buy. Just across the road is a track leading to the pebble beach and lovely walking behind the sea defences along the coastal path. You can walk from here to The Pheasant Hotel which offers afternoon tea and delicious meals in its double AA rosette restaurant. Salthouse with the lovely Dun Cow pub, Cookies Crab Shop and village shop is a few minutes away in the car, or you can walk along the coastal path. Hop in the car and you are a short drive from Holt with it's plethora of independent shops, Budgens supermarket and the lovely Bakers & Larners department store with it's famous food hall. The seaside town of Sheringham is a few miles along the coast road to the East and to the West you can explore the popular villages of Cley-next-the-Sea and Blakeney and onwards to Wells-next-the-Sea.
