We look forward to welcoming you to The Tempest our quirky mid 19thc converted basement flat. Things to know; Renovation work is happening in the residence above and noise can be expected 8-5 mon-fri. We are surrounded by birds, songbirds but also pigeons and seagulls, you can expect to hear them! This is part of a unique building, previously The Prospect Boarding House, with the amazing views which lent the name over the Ilfracombe seafront and harbour from the living room and kitchen. The bedrooms are cosy with limited outdoor light, looking over a tiny internal courtyard. This is a flat in a semi detached building and you will likely hear normal household noises between 7-8.30 in the morning, and in the evening, more so above the green bedroom.
We're a family of four and love living in stunning North Devon- even with the hills. Love- reading, films, Coffee, chocolate, handball and football. We want to give a home away from home experience with a breathtaking view and a chance to breath sea air and listen to the birds. We live nearby and although self check in is in use we are very happy to help with any queries.
A characterful town with lots of independent high st shops and a working harbour with multiple eateries and art galleries. Parking- Directly outside the flat parking is on single yellow lines, free between 6pm-10am, or opposite in a bay which can be paid in 2 hour blocks. There is also Hillsborough car park 15 minutes stroll away. Local car parks are available, look at North Devon Council website for details of a 7day rover parking ticket. Bus 21 to Braunton, Barnstaple,Westward Ho!, Appledore. Local Filers Buses also go to Woolacombe and Combe Martin.
