Staying in this property feels like a privilege as it’s in a breathtaking location, while the architectural conversion from a church to a cottage is both innovative and imaginative. The use of picture windows and choice of colour creates harmony...

We liked the quality of the whole accommodation, newly refurbished very nicely with modernist features of furniture and fittings. A beautiful light with great windows. Unique and wonderful. A very memorable stay in a fabulous location.

Absolutely perfect little house in a little valley of nowhere. Birds (even an eagle), deer and sheep around. Panoramic windows, good for rainy and sunny days!

This mission church has been completely renovated whilst keeping the existing structure and external tin. The interior is wood lined with silver fir, the entrance with deck area is south facing and sheltered. Architect designed in minimal, modern style to make the most of the space, 35 square metres. This one bedroom house has a full kitchen with oven and hob, small fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and wood burning stove. The location is central to Skye close to the Cuillin hills, with Carbost 3miles away.
We have lived on Skye for over 30 years, moving here for work in 1986. I am an artist and my husband is an architect and we have enjoyed doing the church up. We hope you enjoy your stay.
Within 20 minutes walk from the Tin Church is a sandy beach at Fiscavaig, footpath to a broch and a hotel/ bar. You can also walk straight into the hills along the river. If you are a climber it is in a prime location for exploring the Cuillin. Talisker whisky distillery and the Old Inn, good for food and music, are both in Carbost, about 4 miles from the church.
