A luxury, dog friendly, holiday home located in a quiet area of Cresswell Towers holiday park. Merely a short stroll from the beach, this is the perfect base for beach bums, walkers, and those looking to re charge batteries in this cosy setting, while sipping on a Nespresso coffee and settling into a good book. A selection of board games are included during the stay, suitable for all ages. Built in 2024, to residential specification, the property features integrated appliances, such as a dishwasher and washing machine, designed to enhance your stay. The open-plan layout is ideal for families; sliding patio doors allow for outdoor/indoor living. The decking area, which is fully enclosed, allows guests to soak up the sun and features a large outdoor dining space. There are 3 bedrooms, comprising of a master double with ensuite and 2 further twin rooms. The main bathroom can be access via the hall. For walking enthusiasts, we have a boot store integrated into a storage bench located next to the back door. Private parking for 1 car is included, and is adjacent to the property. Onsite facilities are open seasonally, these include a bar (dog friendly zone), restaurant (dog friendly zone), entertainment complex, a mini-mart, swimming pool and football/ball enclosure. The swimming pool boasts an impressive activity timetable for kids and big kids alike.
I first discovered Cresswell in 2024, having fallen in love with Beadnell, further north, earlier in the year. As a self-certified beach-bum, it was love at first sight! Water so clear you can see your toes and miles upon miles of powdery sand that could rival a beach in the med. I made it my mission to spend more time in Northumberland with my young terrier pup, who is obsessed with beaches and moves at such a speed, we can be on the beach in 5 mins. I fell in love with the holiday home, aptly an ABI Ambleside (I also spend a lot of time in the Lake District) and love to welcome guests and share experiences. We hope that we have created a luxurious home away from home that you won't want to leave. You may even sulk, like me, all the way home!
Cresswell village is small yet mighty; locals are friendly, the air fresh and is peaceful and quiet. Within 10 mins from locking the door (or 5 with my doggo), you are on one of the most spectacular beaches in all of Northumberland. We suggest stopping for a home-made ice cream first from Cresswell Ices. For keen walkers, you can walk all of the way to Amble or veer off for a visit to Druridge Bay Country Park. Drift Café is an ideal spot for a coffee or lunch and is accessible via a car park and/or straight from the beach. There is a bus stop directly outside of the park with a frequent service. We regularly head further afield to Beadnell (45 mins) , Bamburgh (45 mins) & Alnwick (25/30 mins) via car. This corner of Northumberland is well serviced; there are a selection of large supermarket chains in Ashington, along with petrol stations and a further 2 convenience stores in the neighbouring village of Ellington. Northumberland is an exceptionally dog friendly part of the world, so please do not leave them at home!
